Pono only uses solid woods, bone nut and saddle, and only wood bindings. No plastics. They have a climate-controlled factory on the island of Java. They diligently aim for perfection and it shows!
 
Cedar makes a great soundboard on a small guitar like this. That along with the 12 fret to body design makes for a very warm sounding little guitar. The rosewood adds volume and sustain for a truly rich tonality we think you'll love.
 
This little guitar is perfect for fingerpickers and has a slightly wider 1.8" or 46mm nut width. A lot of people found this to be a perfect spacing for them. 12 frets to body puts bridge in the center of the top, giving a bigger projection than you would expect from this size.
Other features include curly maple bindings with herringbone purflings, a slotted headstock with the Grover Sta-tite 18:1, their highest quality tuners, and a high quality hardshell case.
